Annie Singleton Spirit Awards – Terms & Agreement

By submitting a nomination for the Annie Singleton Spirit Awards, hosted by the Alpha Foundation of Southern Maryland (AFOSMD) in partnership with Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., Sigma Alpha Lambda Chapter, you agree to the following terms:

1. Nominee Consent

The nominator confirms that the nominee has been informed of this submission and consents to:

• Being nominated for public recognition.

• Having their name, photo, and professional biography reviewed by the selection committee.

2. Selection Disclaimer

• Submitting a nomination does not guarantee that the nominee will be selected for an award.

• Final honorees are chosen at the sole discretion of the Awards Committee based on merit and alignment with award criteria.
  
  

3. Use of Submitted Materials

By submitting this form, you grant AFOSMD and the Annie Singleton Spirit Awards Committee permission to:

• Use the nominee’s name, likeness, biography, and submitted materials (e.g., photos, nomination letters) in promotional materials including but not limited to: social media, websites, press releases, event signage, and digital/print advertising.

• Use submitted materials whether or not the nominee is selected as an award recipient.
  
  

4. Compensation

• No financial compensation will be provided for nominations, recognition, or use of submitted materials.
  
  

5. Privacy and Data Use

• Contact information collected through this form will be used solely for award communication and event-related purposes. It will not be sold or shared with third parties.
  
  

6. Event Participation

• Selected honorees may be invited to participate in interviews, media appearances, or event-related activities.

• Honorees are encouraged to attend the awards ceremony and may be featured in promotional recaps or future event materials.
